- I can think of a few choices
-
- 1. Get IPDial off aminet. It has quite a good scripting language. I don;t
- know how it compares to dialup/slipcall though, as I haven't used those
- packages.
-
- 2. If you Uni supports PPP then get the unregistered version of
- ppp.device off aminet. This includes it's own dialer, however, the
- dialer scripts commands are fairly basic when compared to IPdial, basically
- WAIT string, SEND string and so on. It gets the job done though.
-
-
- 3. I have seen a thing called "varknet" mentioned in some of the Amiga releated
- newsgroups, which is meant to be some easy to use/setup TCP/IP-SLIP config
- system. Once again no comments as I haven't used it. It is on Aminet somewhere,
- probably comm/tcp. Check the index file.
-
- If you end up going the PPP way, I strongly suggest you register with the author
- of PPP.device. The registration price is extremly cheap and the s/w is rock
- solid (IMHO) , not to mention the registered version is faster.
